Llandudno is bustling with Victorian buildings and structures, and retaining their original look play an excellent part in this fantastic event. Fairground
The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is a great environment for you to learn about the history of fairs which were established over many centuries, often evolving from a complex structure of feasts & markets which formed the basis for medieval trade.
With improved distribution by railway in the Victorian epoch, trading fairs declined sharply, though the disappearing need for vigorous barter allowed the element of fun making to emerge supreme. Combining the new technologies developed through the mechanisation of agriculture & the art of exhibiting with brilliantly contrived flamboyance, the modern Showman was born.

Parade
This event is not to be missed. Each day throughout the weekend this Grand Parade is led by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang followed by marching bands, Victorian Costume walkers (join us in costume), Steam engines and vintage vehicles, Britain’s best Town Criers, The Wormhout Giants, stilt walkers, street entertainers, Star Wars characters and more. All costume walkers are invited along to the main stage each day following the parade for judging and prize giving.

Entertainers
The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza brings you fantastically wide selection of street entertainment from the last 150 years. This entertainment is hugely varied and promises that there will be something for everyone’s appetite.
From Town Bands to Fire Eating and Juggling ; Can Can to Town Cryers; Jazz Bands to Star Wars; Circus Performers to Marching Bands; Stilt Walking Policemen to The Mad Hatter…

Costume
Be on the lookout for some exceedingly tall policeman who have been instructed to interrogate anyone not wearing Victorian costume. They will also be on the lookout for individuals not giving generously during the daily Parade and anyone found guilty will be placed in the stocks and pelted with rotten eggs. On a serious note we will be collecting donations during each daily parade and we ask for your wholehearted support as this contributes tremendously to the staging of the event.

Transport Festival
This year is the 17th Year for our Transport Festival the biggest and now one of the best liked events in the U.K. with a thousand + Exhibitors and thousands of Transport enthusiasts from all over the U.K. and Ireland coming to partake and visit our sea front Showground at Bodafon Fields, Llandudno.
We attract a large range of exhibits including some 350 Commercials of Lorries, Military and Buses, 140 + Motorcycles, 130 Tractors, with Bicycles, Stationary Engines Miniature Steam and some 350 Vintage and Classic Cars per day, with over 100 Trade Stand and Autojumble stall in their midst. Exhibitors start arriving from Friday and settle in ready for the gates to open at 9-00am on Saturday morning.
