Attractions that thrilled many years ago are still just as exciting and appealing today, and many of these are available for your enjoyment at the Extravaganza. For example the Howard Brothers Gallopers were delivered new to the Studt family of South Wales in 1886. In 1948 the ride was sold to Alf Whitelegg and was mostly referred to as the 'Whitelegg gallopers', they then dissappeared from the showground for many years and were discovered by Jimmy Noyce. It was then purchased by the current owners, the Howard Brothers of Derbyshire in September 2005. The ride has been completely restored including the centre engine number 664 and is attending the extravaganza for the first time. You may also take a ride on the Ashbys Steam Gallopers which were built by walkers of Tewkesbury. It's savage centre engine number is 422 and was built in 1887. This ride features a 46/48 key Gavioli trumpet organ. Take to the air in the Adult flying chairs made by the Gotha of Germany in the 1920's. It is a 32 seat machine complete with a 46 key organ. Be mesmerised by the museum of oddities, the greatest travelling show of oddities with over 100 exhibitions. These include the famous Alien twins, a shrunken head from Equador, relics from the mummified Hobbit and new exhibits for 2007 include the Atomic Fish. This is just a small sample of the available attractions.
